Alan Hoffler is the mind and driving force behind Online Stage Coach. Alan has degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics, but never pursued a career in either field. It took him more than half his life to discover he was born to teach.

He still uses his training and inborn analytical skills to tackle the problems you face in communication. But it’s his passion for excellence and refusal to do things like everyone else that sets him apart.

Alan taught high school and college math, worked as a software tester, and spent over a decade in corporate training before starting MillsWyck Communications in 2005. He left his corporate job in 2008 (bad timing!). Over the next decade, he built his craft and materials to be direct, practical, and life-changing. He’s traveled all over the world training and coaching others to stand up and stand out when the stage calls.

Now he’s managing a team that includes a journalist, a therapist turned social media expert, and a Hollywood producer to put what he’s learned into an online format that you can consume at your pace and in your location.

1. ONLINE

While none of us were prepared for or enjoyed the forced transition to an online environment in 2020, one of the lasting effects of COVID on the business world is a tolerance for learning and conducting business online. Alan tackled the challenge like he does all the rest – observing and studying what works and what doesn’t.

While online training may be the most difficult environment to excel in, we believe that your time should be valued, the content should be captivating, and the results should be tangible.

We’re out to do more than just keep you logged in… we want you to think and change and be awesome at your next event.

2. STAGE

Life gives us opportunities and challenges. They aren’t always requested or even wanted, but we’ll define the stage as the chance to speak to or lead others. It may be on a physical stage, but more likely a metaphorical one. but it’s likely that it’s more metaphorical.

It’s the platform you are afforded by your expertise, position, or passions in life. We want you to be ready to make your impact on the world when the stage calls.

3. COACH

Alan’s favorite word and title. Coach is a word from centuries ago that is a shortening of stagecoach. Originally, it was a covered carriage that tooktakes people of importance from where they wereyou are to where they wanted or needed you want or need to go.

Drop the physical wheeled carriage part and it’s a great description of what we do. We think you – and your message – are important. And we are honored to help you get to where you want to go.

No matter where you are, you can be better at articulating your message and delivering it in a way that people will want to listen and will react to your requests.
